15 December 2020 – OSPT Alliance, a global community enabling the future of mobility services, has seen significant expansion of its membership, welcoming 24 new members from across Africa, Europe, and North and South America, as international interest in open ticketing standards grows.
The rise in membership follows the January announcement of the association’s planned collaboration with Calypso Networks Association (CNA) to further drive adoption of open standards in transport ticketing and offer public transport operators (PTOs) a clear, compelling alternative to proprietary systems.
“The value and importance of open ticketing standards adoption in transport is clearer now than ever and the global growth of our membership is a real testament to that. In the last year, we have seen continued strong engagement from Latin America, our first member from Africa, and growth in the US,” comments Philippe Martineau, President of OSPT Alliance.
In the last 12 months, Perfect Plastic Printing, Secure ID and VALID SOLUÇÕES SA have joined the association as Full Members, enabling them to develop and certify commercial products based on the CIPURSE™ open standard, influence the development of CIPURSE, and contribute to the association’s working groups. CoherentPlus International Pte, ID TECH and Logikard c.a. have joined the association as Affiliate Members, allowing them to develop commercial products at the transmitting level, while a further 18 companies from across the transport ecosystem have joined at Associate Member level.
